How to use in-App purchase when packaging AIR->APK->BAR

I am having existing Air apps which use the BB-World in-App pruchase functionality. I am planning to continue to offer my Apps via the Air->APK->BAR packaging route.

Now since support of Air will cease soon and as I understand BB specific ANE will not work anymore, how can I continue using my in-App functionality?

Will blackberry offer new ANEs that we can use when we package the apk which will be then compatible with the BB World in-APP purchase functionality?

Kindly let me know how to proceed.

Re: How to use in-App purchase when packaging AIR->APK->BAR

I would guess that there will be absolutely no further support for any Air specific development, so you are alone out there. From a business perspectiv I can understand the move, as BB continues to struggle..

Anyway, probably the easiest solution is to forward your users to a purchase page in the browser. Luckily, I already did that before.

Cheers

I'm in the same boat as you regarding in-app purchases.  I believe the simple answer is -- you can't.

This is a real pain because I could have easily ported over my Android version, but there would be no way for my users to get their previously paid content.  I'm thinking I'll most likely just rewrite my app in HTML5.

It appears that you can use Google Play IAP Api v2 without any modifications on Blackberry, but v3 is not supported.

But that won't help the users who already purchased upgrades from AppWorld.

Re: How to use in-App purchase when packaging AIR->APK->BAR

Why wouldnt that help?

Lets Assume I replace my previous Air BB App which already uses the BB in-App purchase with the Android v2 billing and keep the same app id and in-app id. Then the previous purchase should still be available and restorable or am I missing something here?

The Android billing API v2 can see previous purchases, so I would assume that it would work, however I have not yet tested this...

By the way can anyone point me to an AIR ANE for in-App purchase that uses Google Api version 2. It seems most of the in-App ANE use version 3.
