Sorry I know this is the wrong board for NDK, but they didn't have anywhere else I could ask. But has anyone recieved an invitation to join the closed beta for the native sdk? they said they would get back to people in 48 hours, that was more than a week ago, so just wondering if anyone else has gotten it yet.

It's a good question. I know of many people in the IRC chat who applied, none of whom have heard anything.
I recall the 48 hours promise as well (or "two business days", I think it said), and am disappointed but not entirely surprised that this has turned out to be another broken or false promise.
Several weeks ago I followed Elena's advice and requested a copy of the Native SDK. No can do.
Wednesday morning last week I applied to the current / about-to-occur Native SDK beta phase... no response.
I'd like to use the Native SDK for various app developments, particularly graphically-intensive apps (including games), as well as other apps that require access to Bluetooth and / or USB (assuming hardware access is supplied by the SDK).
I'm currently in a holding pattern for certain decisions and software and hardware purchases while I wait for RIM to respond. Yes, I agree with the sentiment expressed by peter9477.

The sooner we can get access to the Native SDK, the sooner we can all develop and release incredible apps and games...
Awesome Apps/Game = Happy consumers
Happy consumers = Good Reviews
Good Reviews = More $$$ for RIM and dev community
