Just whipped these up tonight as my way of saying thanks for all the help I've gotten here over the past couple months.
I'm no artist but often find that just getting drawings/sketches down on paper significantly helps my design and build process. In the past I've just been folding a sheet of paper in half to simulate the size of the PlayBook, but thought I'd take the time to make something a little more accurate to what the device actually looks like.
Feel free to download and print as many of these as you want, and hope they help you design lots of wicked apps in the future!
(PS: The white one in no way indicates a desire for a white PlayBook, its designed so you can make notes in the bezel area)
Oh! Forgot to add that these are to the exact dimensions of the PlayBook, but your printer may downscale them slightly (mine did by .2 inches.)
EDIT: I've put together a little collection that hopefully has what everyone is looking for. In here you'll find:
- 8.5 x 11 sheets that have a 25 x 25 grid (with bold on every 100 pixels)
- 8.5 x 11 sheets that have a 16 x 16 grid (with bold on every 64 pixels)
- single device with a 25 x 25 grid
Everything comes in both black and white.
Again, just my way of saying thanks!

By my (quick) calculations, there are roughly 28 pixels per grid square. If you made those squares, say, 25 pixels each, or 50, it would make it easier to sketch out widgets of a particular size, or to estimate the size of widgets that you've sketched out. Maybe a major/minor grid with 100 pixels per major line, 20 or 25 per minor.

The original post has been updated with both black and white versions of a 16 x 16 grid and a 25 x 25 grid.
