Re: Playbook SDK Install problem on Windows 7

Hmmm, wel maybe it's not the same thing. I got this exact error message when installing the simulator (not the SDK) but it turned out that for whatever reason the file hadn't properly downloaded, so I tried downloading it again and it worked fine. The only thing I did differently was using a different browser to download the file the second time but I doubt that's the issue, it just hadn't downloaded the whole file but the download manager said that it had.

Re: Playbook SDK Install problem on Windows 7

Doing a google search about the same problem when using InstallAnywhere utility, more than one place suggested that this error normally happens when the downloaded file is corrupted.

I don't know if you've already tried that, but disable the antivirus and try download it again.

I hope it helps.

Can someone else download the file for you and put it up somewhere for you to download?

Well, I cannot upload it, but I downloaded and checked the MD5 value for it:

So, if you run a MD5 utility on your Windows box, you must get the same value.

There is a Win32 version here: http://www.pc-tools.net/win32/md5sums/

Cheers

Re: Playbook SDK Install problem on Windows 7

I re-downloaded the file today and now it is installing correctly.  Looks like I had a corrupt file.
