I am a first time developer for Blackberry, any good resources out there? Sites, books, words of advice, etc?

Re: Programming Resources

Hi,

to get you started, you need to follow the instructions you will find online on the BlackBerry for developpers website. There is a complete document that explain how to install the SDK and install the emulator. Follow these steps to get your BB environnement started.

After that, you will need to write applications in AS3 / Flex  / AIR. There are plenty of tutorials out there, here is a useful list:

http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flash/

And check this applications too:

http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/tourdeflex.html

It will give you good insights about what you can do with AIR Smiley Happy

Hope this helps,

Fabien
