SKU questions

Hello all,

I was looking over the page for app submission in the vendor portal and I was curious about the SKU field.  Are there any requirements for this SKU?  A minimum length or a recommended way of generating one?

Thanks,  and sorry if this has been covered, I tried searching for the answer but found nothing.

Re: SKU questions

It can be anything you want.  I just used the lowercase version of the application name.

Howdy, that is a good question...  The SKU is generally for your own in house purposes, it allows you to track based on your own system.  Since my company name is KDitty Labs I shortened that to KDL and then added a number field after it which started at 001 and will increment every time I add another application.  I may want to rethink that, but that is how I am handling it as of now.

For a better understanding you could look at this:

Re: SKU questions

Note also that there are restrictions in what's allowed, including a minimum length, but the form will tell you that when you submit, if you get it wrong.
