First up, I changed my app from being locked into landscape mode. I had locked it down for the initial release, as we know that the gestures for reorientation in the 0.9.4 simulator weren't quite working yet. My app has quite a different layout in landscape vs portrait mode. I didn't want to take chances on having the rendering go completely bonkers given not being able to achieve it completely in the old sim.
But now, with autoOrients back to "true", I can do the gesture swipe from the bottom right corner in the new sim, and the orientation changes properly. No squished up scaled ugly mess, but the real and proper deal. This is now working both if you minimize the app, then do the orientation gesture, or do it without minimizing.
A definate improvement!

Mousing from "outside" the screen allows switching from Landscape to Portrait mode. It is a bottom right corner up gesture. The other corners toward the screen gestures do other stuff.
Right now, just having a little issue updating my app to 1.0.1

Yes, the gestures are correct. The problem in the previous SDK was that the events the app listens to for orientation were not being sent to the app properly. You could gesture, and the VM would change orientation, but your app never got the proper events. This has been fixed.
