Using the SDK Software

So for those of us who aren't yet ready to put down the cash to invest in FlashBuilder 4, how are we supposed to use the SDK? I can't find any information on this, but it would seem that we are supposed to write all of the code in a text editor and then compile the code manually. If this is the case, does anyone know of a way to get this to work in Eclipse, Netbeans, Aptana?


I'm hoping for a guide of some sort on this since I've never used AIR or Flash before. Thanks.
