Important but simple question:
work on real devices? I know it works on the simulator but since there are a few differences in how the simulator vs the real device behaves, this might be good to know.

yes MouseEvents are similar to "one touchpoint" events. So they will work the same as a single "touch". Also its been recommended that if you use only one touch point, you should stick with mouseevents because they use less overhead. good luck!
