icon appears small in Simulator

I have an 86x86 blackberry-tablet-icon.png file in the same folder as my compiled swf like the getting started guide says.  But, the icon appears on the home screen as a very tiny icon compared to the browser icon next to it.

In the first version of Burrito/BB SDK/Simulator, I didn't have this problem.  So, what changed?

Air does not appear to be loading the right size icon or the Simulator just isn't displaying it correctly.

What size should it be? Where does the blackberry-tablet-icon.png need to be saved inside my flex project so that Air packages the correct one?

Also, I have the following icons in my air xml file (for use on other targeted devices)

<icon>
        <image16x16>assets/PLAYBOOK16.png</image16x16>
        <image32x32>assets/PLAYBOOK32.png</image32x32>
        <image36x36>assets/PLAYBOOK36.png</image36x36>
        <image48x48>assets/PLAYBOOK48.png</image48x48>
        <image72x72>assets/PLAYBOOK72.png</image72x72>
        <image128x128>assets/PLAYBOOK128.png</image128x128>
    </icon>

My assumption is that blackberry ignores these.  Correct?

There were alot of posts about the icons, but nothing with a current solution as far as I can find.  Please help.

Thanks,

Don

86x86

you can search the forum and see other threads...

I put the call to my icon in the blackberry-tablet.xml file.

I use command line to package my files and icon so I can't comment on Burrito.

Re: icon appears small in Simulator

I only have one size in the element and it looks like the following. It also works just fine. I bet it is just picking the first one of yours (I could be wrong).

   <image>assets/icon.png</image>
</icon>

Re: icon appears small in Simulator

Thank you ... but I just figured out you have to completely reset the VMPlayer/Simulator in order for the app icon to update.

The 86x86 located in my bin folder and commenting out the icons in the app xml, seemed to do the trick.  The correct size shows in simulator now.
