security error loading images via xml

hi,

--bin debug

      --xml

      --images

i am grabbing xml files in the xml folder, parse them and load images out of the images folder.

it worked when debugging in firefox, but if i do a releasebuild or try debugging it with PB, i get the security error

SecurityError: Error #3207: Application-sandbox content cannot access this feature.
    at flash.system:Smiley Frustratedecurity$/allowDomain()
    at pewpew()[D:\PlayBook\pewpew\src\pewpew.as:61]

i tried using:

            Security.allowDomain("xml");
            Security.allowInsecureDomain("xml");

but it stops right there.

i am reading a lot of stuff about about bridges (which would allow passing strings and numbers!?) and crosspath xml...?

i had a similar problem with aanother (web-based) project where i could solve it easily using allowDomain.

thanks

hey,

i dont see why you shud run into any security errors if you are just loading an image based on string parsed from an XML file -- how are u loading the images exactly? Sample code should help. good luck!

Re: security error loading images via xml

lol ur right.

flashbuilder even includes the folders with the resources itself.

turns out the problem was the line "security.allowDomain". doesnt have a problem with loading images out of folders (like on pc), but just with this command. as soon as i deleted it, it all worked great
