When testing my android app port on a Z10 the accelerometer turns off when the screen is off. A partial wake lock does not turn the sensor back on. A screen dim wake lock is required to turn the sensor back on. This behaviour forces the screen to be on all the time when an application requires using these sensors.
An example would be a pedometer recording the steps throughout the day. In order for it to work the screen will have to be turned on by the application running in the background. This will cause a quick drain on the battery and is not an acceptable solution.
On Android a partial wake lock is enough to keep the accelerometer running.
I believe this should be flagged as a deficiency, lots of the motion apps ported from Android will be blocked by this and my app port is one of them.
Tested on Device Z10, model-number STL100-3. Software release 10.1.0.273

I just loaded the latest software release 10.2.0.424 and this issue has not been solved. Is there a forecast solution date on this problem? I can't access the bug tracking system, so wondering how long it would take to have it fixed. Currently this is blocking my app as there does not seem to be a workaround available.
