Apps can't set its own tone as alarm sound

Querring the RingtoneManager (Intent i = new Intent(RingtoneManager.ACTION_RINGTONE_PICKER)) returns the default android tones that come preinstalled with Android runtime, but setting the desired tone as notification sound

Notification n = new Notification(R.drawable.icon_app, text,
				nextMillis);
n.audioStreamType = AudioManager.STREAM_ALARM;

(AudioManager.STREAM_ALARM) in the app doesn't do anything. Only the default BB 10 tone is played and changing it in Settings>Notifications>App name again doesn't reflect the changes at all.

This bahaviour doesn't occur on PlayBook, but occurs on Dev Alpha and retail Z10.
