I had been trying to install Android apps to BlackBerry Playbook as mentioned in this website
I followed all steps as they mentioned in that guide. But one step of upgrading playbook to os v2.0.
But all in all I got to be successful in installing rePackaged android app on playbook but it could not run on playbook when tap on app icon on playbook then it prompts to run but then app stop unexpectedly.
May be the reason is my playbook carries os with v220.127.116.118.
But as mentioned in this thread that it requires beta os v2.0.
I still not upgrading to this os version as may be do not know that it is really required for android apps or not.
I want to clearify on folloeing things:
Please do help me as I had been trying to install Android apps on playbook since 5 days now.

The BlackBerry Runtime for Android Applications is only availalbe within the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 beta at this time. The runtime is not included in prior versions of the OS, so it will be required that you upgrade your PlayBook to the 2.0 developer beta release from the following link:
You can downgrade your device afterwards through the following URL as well:

Thank You for your complementary answer quickly. I am going to update playbook to v2.0 now.
But just want to know about one important thing that when will this os v2.0 would be available for public use so that we could repack our Android apps for playbook officially.

The Android player is still present. What issue are you having running Android applications?

Can you elaborate? Are you having problems loading or running your Android application? Is any error shown?

To Elaborate, there is no android player in that release....unless the download I got was not complete. I have searched. Its not there. Wondering if it was taken out for bugs and will be put in later. I have seen other in the internet saying they had problems with it.

How are you determining that there is no Android player present?
