Java to Javascript bridge broken in android 2.3.3?

[ Edited ]

I'm trying to figure out why my app is crashing, without any reason, in both the BB10 androdi runtime (via simulator) and in an android device emulator.

I came across this bug report and blog post

which is a concern for me

can anyone confirm if this could be a problem in the 2.3.3 runtime in blackberry?

i know people have ported their google maps into web views so it seems it shouldn't be an issue... but i have yet to have success and i can't figure out why my app just crashes.....

and i can confirm my ported app crashes when attempting to run it in google API's version 10 emulator with the error those folks mention in the bug report comments.

I'm not seeing this in the log cat when running in the bb10 simulator, but the symptoms are similar (the app and web view seem to load in the BB10, but it will crash and i don't get any clues at all in the log cat)
