Native app and Android app in one package

I have been thinking about a workaround for lack of ContentHandler integration for Android apps, and have come up with an architecture, that would include an Android service an a proxy native app.

My question is, is there a way to package both apps in the same package or to have some sort of package dependency in place, that would trigger chain installation of both packages? I wish to avoid having to ask users to install several packages in order to have my app functioning properly.

Re: Native app and Android app in one package

Based on the available documentation and previous forum posts, there is no way to integrate BB10 native functionality with the Android Runtime.

However if the user launches separately an Android Runtime application and a BB10 native application, the two applications can both access the shared part of the filesystem and may also establish a socket connection to pass data.

Best Regards,
