Record audio from a microphone

How can I record voice through the microphone in the AMR format?
I use this code:

	public void start() {
		try {

			if (path.equals("")) {
				java.io.File f = Environment
						.getExternalStoragePublicDirectory(Environment.DIRECTORY_MUSIC);

				if (!f.exists())
					f.mkdir();

				path = f.getAbsolutePath();

				path += "/audiorecord.amr";
			}

			mRecorder = new MediaRecorder();
			mRecorder.setAudioSource(MediaRecorder.AudioSource.MIC);
			mRecorder.setOutputFormat(MediaRecorder.OutputFormat.RAW_AMR);
			mRecorder.setOutputFile(path);
			mRecorder.setAudioEncoder(MediaRecorder.AudioEncoder.AMR_NB);
			mRecorder.prepare();
			mRecorder.start();

		} catch (Exception e) {
			System.out.println(e.toString());
			e.printStackTrace();

		}
	}

On Android I get the correct file, but on bb10 I get a file with an entry in the AAC format.
Valid record from Android

not valid record from Blackberry Z10

Re: Record audio from a microphone

Ok, since no one knows what I'll tell dug. Blackberry 10 is always written in the AAC regardless of the recording when using a class MediaRecorder. To work with Google Speech I need AMR, FLAC or SPEEX file. After long experimentation, I found this source, allows you to save the file entry in the WAV.

Next I had to get out of WAV any of the 3 formats. After going through several libraries I chose http://jspeex.sourceforge.net/ As a result, received a working code speech recognition. Of course because of encoding speed is reduced, but my BB now understands not only English.
