Slow Dev Alpha Simulator

Dev Alpha Simulator 10.0.9.1673

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

VM Ware 5

Core i7 2.8GHz

2 ATI Radeon HD 5500

I'm working on an Android app but the simulator performance is really poor particularly with Android apps.

The cursor get slow and jerky and it becomes extremely difficult to navigate an Android app, almost unusable.

Native apps do not seem to be effected.

3D Acceleration is enable in vmware by default and it's greyed out.

I've got virtualization on in the BIOS.

Any suggestions as to what is going on?

I do have multiple monitors hooked up to this machine if that matters.

Thanks!
