android:screenOrientation="portrait" being ignored? How to fix orientation?

Hi,

I am getting fails from QA based on the fact that my android apps are giving their default 'Landscape Mode Not Supported' message when opened in landscape orientation on BB10 devices. However, I have android:screenOrientation="portrait" included in the manifest so they should be fixed to portrait orientation.

Is there a way to fix screen orientation on ported android apps? I am using the apk2bar tool.

Re: android:screenOrientation="portrait" being ignored? How to fix orientation?

Actually the issue is only the q10, according to specs this device is 720*720 so portrait or landscape should be a moot point!!

Does the device utilise a virtual keypad or something so one doesn't get the full 720*720?

cheers

it utilizes a navigation bar at the bottom which will give your app more width than height on the square screen devices.
