how to secure android app

I developed my paid android app using the Google License Verification Library (LVL).  Now I take it that I can't use LVL when creating a port for the playbook?  So how do I easily secure my app?

I have looked on the forums and online and haven't found anything useful.  The only way seems to be using the dynamic license model, but that requires a server backend.  Even if I use this approach its unclear how you code your app to take advantage of getting a key, I couldn't find any documentation. And how does the basic key verification work?  I couldn't find any documentation on this either, do I code my app to have a prompt for a license key?  Does the user get the key from app world when he purchases it?

Basically what I don't know is this: is there some interface between app world and my app?

Maybe some fellow developers can share how they plan to secure their android app on playbook.
