the page for runtime for android app test comp.....

Hy guys please I need your help... Trying to use the compatibility test Runtime for Android apps is quite a few days that the page does not work because it returns an error "We're sorry, an error occurred while processing your request. Has Been The information registered and we're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can. "

Do you know if they settle it?

Thanks a lot guys!

Re: the page for runtime for android app test comp.....

Guys, how can I check the compatibility of an apk file if the form to this address does not work?  Is there another way to check compatibility and then proceed with the repackage android app?

Hey there,

I don't see the same error you are experiencing with the online packager, but we were doing some maintenance late last week. Give it another shot now.

Otherwise, you can download the command-line tools which will give you all of the same functionality.

Thanks Justin, please can you help me with the syntax command line for apk2barVerifier tool ? Here there are the instructions but I dont understand because the command line I do not know....

So, it is right or do I change the string?

thanks a lot Justin!

apk2barVerifier <C:\xxx\xxxx\Downloads\com.gpsies.android_v1.6.9.apk> [<compatibility_exceptions>] [<C:\xxxx\xxxxx\android-sdks>] [blacklist file] [-v] [-r] [-b [-o]] [-os <version>] [-t <target-dir>]

Re: the page for runtime for android app test comp.....

Most of the verifier's arguments are optional extras.

I just use:

apk2barVerifier MyApplication.apk

That will produce (in this case) a MyApplication.wrn file, which will show you all of the incompatibilities (if any) with BB10.

Re: the page for runtime for android app test comp.....

You got it. You won't need the angle brackets ("<" or ">"), but that's the syntax.

The APK file (including full path) comes after apk2barVerifier.

Re: the page for runtime for android app test comp.....

Inside the .WRN file you'll see incompatibilities rated by severity level from 1(low) to 5(high).

Lower severity levels usually don't involve too much work in order to allow the application to run on BB10 (Ex. icon resize), however the higher level severity items (Ex. use of Google Maps or native code) may require more code modification.

If you post the .WRN output I can give you a run-down of some of the incompatibilities from your application.
