We have uploaded this app: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/45
The app is converted from .apk to .bar using the eclipse plugin you provide.
There is a screen in our app which displays the contacts from the phones adressbook. In android devices(the .apk file), it shows all the contacts correctly(umlaut and greek characters are displayed properly).
The .bar file which is istalled on a Z10 device works in general fine, but it has a problem in this view... it does not display umlaut and greek characters correctly.
In our android project, we read the phones contacts this way:
String name = cur.getString(cur.getColumnIndex(ContactsContract.
Then the name is displayed in a listview...
name is UTF-8.
Why in bb10 device this is not displayed correctly ?
There is any canonical way, in order to make it work ?

Hey spgianna, welcome to the forums!
It looks like the issue you are experiencing stems from a bug in the native contacts app that is propagated across to Android during synchronization.
That said, our developers have recently addressed this and the fix should be available in the next OS update!
