Blackberry Messenger not working on 9800 Torch

Help! My BBM is not working. I try to add people by scanning their barcode in and it says that they are pending. But when I ask people if they got the invite they don't. I try to add people by putting in their PINs and it does the same. They try to add me and it says that I'm pending but I didn't get the invite. What do I do to fix this? D:

Yea, I am having the EXACT same problem.  I added my friend and she added me, then one day I woke up and she wasnt on my contacts anymore.  So I added her again and all it says now is "Pending".  Same on her end as well.  I can use BBM to text anotehr of my friends on it, but just not her or another friend.  I even deleted both of them manually and tried to re-add them manually.. Same effect.. "pending"..   I even went so far to completely delete BBM and reinstall it... Didnt help.... what to do?

starfish, Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?

You must, in order to get the BlackBerry Messenger, RIM push email functions and BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.

So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.

I have all that.  Data plan and all.  Been using it for awhile.  Just recently started using BBM a lil more and when i added my friend, she vanished from contacts next day.. So i added her again, and now it only says pending.  ?

I was actually asking starfish that question, since he is the original poster and your situation affecting one user does seen slightly different than his, affecting several or all.

You're certain that user didn't delete you as contact in BBM and is currently not responding to your subsequent requests?

Is her device on a corporate BES account or is it a personal BIS account?

Hey i have a problem with my bbm.. i am using a bb torch 9800.. 

bbm shows a blue screen and says setting up.. its been like that for a long time.. kindly help me
