Problem with Back up files remotely

Dear Sir,

I'm using blackberry 9810. I want to transfer my bbm contact to my Android phone (Samsung galaxy note3). I come to know that this can be done throgh BB ID. I tried to back up my BBM contacts remotely.

I have registered a new Hotmail email in the phone.

When I'm choosing the email it says that "the varification email was sent successfully. once your ..................."

I'm recieving the email in my handset.

It is not in the junk mail.

But the registration is not happining.

I have wiped the phone.

update the BB world.

Everything has been deleted from the phone.

My phone is blackberry torch 9810

software version is 7.1.0 bundle 2061 platform 5.1.0.532)

Host routing table has been registered.

What is the solution?

Re: Problem with Back up files remotely

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I am very confused by your post...there seem to be either a great many different problems, or you are using different words for the same problem. For example, your subject line states "files" yet the first part of your post talks about transferring BBM contacts to a different device. These would be two completely different functions, and I cannot quite determine which exactly you wish to know about.

For backup, refer to the link in my auto-sig on this post.

For BBM contacts, there is no actual backup function to perform...rather, the BBM contacts are stored "in the cloud" with your other BBID items, and will be visible to any device that uses that exact same BBID. There is no backup/restore function for BBM contacts starting with BBM7.

I think you then move on to a totally different topic...

You are receiving the necessary email? Or you are not? Confusing...

And what on earth does BBWorld have to do with the email configuration? Again, very confusing.

Please clarify exactly the situation(s) you have issues with.

Thanks and let us know!
