Scan to Invite option missing in BBM for BB10

When using BBM, after updating to the newest version I no longer have "Scan to Invite" for adding new contacts; there is is only "Tap to Invite" available, and "Show Barcode" for others to scan mine. 

 

Here are my details if it helps:

 

BBM Installed version: 10.3.33.18

BB10 OS: 10.2.1.2977

Model: Z10 STL100-3

Go to invitations

Veraz an icon below to quick scan the bar code and truthful press call back quick scan a code bar.

Thank you for your reply, gutijose14. Those options don't exist with what I have here; they used to before the latest update. Here are a few pictures of what I see:
No Scan to Invite option

and 

Only Tap to Invite

 

Anyone from BlackBerry care to chime in?

Or that you may not appear strange that the option of inviting by bar code.

Try applying a hard reset to see if improvements have effects and then invite BBM by bar code.

Does not work... Tried the hard reset, and the Scan to Invite option is not there.

First takes a back link with blackberry.

I recommend you make a reload of the BlackBerry OS Link

Connect your Z10 and run BBLink
Then go to preference and press the reload option software
Let the process do all your work, and then you start setting your BB.
And load your backup.
And let us know if your problem evidences the persistence.

You must have the latest version of the BlackBerry Link installed.

Two quick questions…

 

  1. Are you able to open the camera on your home screen and take a picture successfully?
  2. Is your device setup with your work email using BlackBerry Enterprise Service?

Reason I ask, your IT administrator may have disabled your devices camera capabilities. Let me know!

Forgot to add, to check for a IT policy on your BlackBErry 10 smarpthone complete the following steps. 

 

  1. While viewing your home screen, swipe down from the top and tap Settings 
  2. Tap About followed by changing the Category bar to Work Space 
  3. Do you see an IT Policy Name and IT Policy Date? 

If so I'd recommend reaching out to your IT department to inquire if they have disabled your camera. Thanks!

Hello TyW, thank you for coming in! 


My camera works fine. The Z10 is my personal one, I don't have it connected to Blackberry Enterprise Services or have a Work Space set up. 

This is most bizarre... but on the plus side for this issue this discussion has popped up as the top result in Google! I wonder if there is some kind of fringe setting I have that is causing this issue, it has popped in other forums but doesn't seem to be a major discussion yet.
