I just upgraded from a BB bold to a Z10 and I am having issues with syncing my music. When I use BB link it says it is prepairing to sync but it never does. It also keeps trying to do an upgrade even after i do the upgrade it keeps trying.
Also do not see my Z10 on windows explorer.
I have unistalled link atleast 6 times with no luck.
I am using windows 8 if that helps.

Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
To Verify do you have Mass Storage mode enabled on the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone?
Also what version of Windows Media Player or iTunes are you using?

Just come across your post while searching for an answer to the same problem. The mass media storage option doesn't seem to be available on my Z10. I was wondering if you had found a solution?

AV prog is Bullgaurd.
Link is/was 1.2.2. I uninstalled it and now unable to reinstall as every time I try I get an "error 1500. Another programme is trting to install..." I have searched for the file that is clearly sitting in the background, but have yet to find and delete it.
I have now installed a micro SD memory card. Now without BBLink installed when I plug in the phone Windows/my computer sees the Blackberry logo, which seems just a shortcut to installing BBLink software from the phone; or if I have USB mass storage switched on it will see the memory card but not the BB logo. I can acces fully the memory card in this way.
However, I have found a workaround for the whole BBLink debacle:
SO, it seems that BBLink and my windows PC just don't get on! I'd love for someone to be able to explain to me why, and also where this annoyiong little self load file is lurking and how to stop it.
BBLink is just not fully thought though, as far as I can see. I hope RIM can solve this, 'cos it's a major hassle. I was within a hair's breadth of sending the phone back and going Android or Apple!
On the plus side, the Z10 seems a fantastic phone (BBLink notwithstanding) and well worth every penny of it's bargain basement price. So i'll be sticking with it now it's finally configured the way I need.

You do not say which Version of Bullguard, check here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/compatibili
Click your version then change Compatibilty to Win 7, if your version is not compatible you need to remove it to fix your issue.
If it is compatible, use the SEARCH function on your PC, enable the Advanced Search and put a check in the box to search non-indexed files and also enable search to search EVERYWHERE
Search for "blackberry" delete all files found then try installing Link.
