Link not worth the Hassle due to no connection and missing features

Finally, I have gave up using BB Link as a serious piece of software.

I cannot connect due to a connection error to my Z10 and if I could connect, I wouldnt be able to PIM sync.

BB have failed miserably with this and need to rectify asap.

Re: Link not worth the Hassle due to no connection and missing features

Hey ticfever,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the post.

What is exactly happening when you connect the BlackBerry Z10 to your computer and access BlackBerry Link?  Do you get any specific errors?

Also manual USB PIM sync will be coming later on this year.  You can setup wireless synchronization or contacts and calendar through Microsoft Outlook by following this blog post: http://helpblog.blackberry.com/2013/02/how-to-setup-outlook-to-wirelessly-synchronize-your-contacts-...

I look forward to your reply.

Re: Link not worth the Hassle due to no connection and missing features

But, since the BB10 can establish a VPN connection back to BB link, shouldn't it be able to sync to MS Outlook anytime, the same as if it was connected with a wire?  Or if not on the Mobile Network, certainly when on the same wifi LAN.

The last thing I want to do is push all of my contacts to MS Cloud.

If BB Protect worked correctly there wouldn't be much to discuss.  Maybe BB should start selling BES/BIS service directly to the end users / business as a hosted offering and cut the carrier out of the equation. Then I bet we could get these things fixed.

Loving My Z10, but wishing for more.
