Out of curriosity. Is the device manager able to "Mount" the z10 drive without link running?
When you start link, it starts another process that adds a tray icon."BlackBerry Device Manager". if you select it, double click on icon in system tray, it should bring up a ui of some sort. There was an option menu there that allowed you to configure it to add the device "drives" in windows. Everything references Tablet there, but seems to work for Z10 as well. Wonder if that's able to connect and mount drives? I get prompted for my device password when that's running, wonder if that process may be able to connect?
I'm also on win7 x64 and not having issues connecting.

Should add you have to close link to have that process connect, it brings up a different password dialog than link, but only seems to do anything when link isn't running.

Blackberry Device Manager is able to mount two drives for the Z10 (Z: and Y, as it is able to do wih my Playbook. In fact I copied and pasted all the music, documents and videos I needed without using Link, as I normally do with the Playbook.
No password dialogue window appears as I haven't set a device password.
What I can't understand is that despite this weird message of not being able to communicate with the device, yesterday Link managed to update my Z10's OS but after the update it went back displaying the usual "can't connect to device" message...

wtf. My guess looking at the applicaitions and memory they use is link is some fancy .net wpf application and the device manager is not using .net. Why that matters I don't know. Does link connect to your playbook?

Nope, it doesn't. It shows the same exclamation mark symbol and can't connect to device message as with my Z10. Strangely enough Link is able to connect to my old Bold 9780 to backup the information during the switch device process which then fails when I connect my Z10.

I am having issues with connecting my CAC Reader with my Z10 and my BBPlayBook. BB Link currently does not allow the import of the SMIME application that is needed on both devices. Does anyone know a work around for this.

I have this problems. WIndows 7 64, BB Link, Epson wifi printer/scanner software.
Don't know if related to Link finding Z10, but I know there is some sort of conflict with Epson scanner service.
My printer works but cannot scan when Link is installed/running. Have not looked into it,
but found something via google about it.
