Windows 7 cannot communicate with device

Hi All,

 

Can anyone help me to solve the following problem:


Issue : Cannot connect to Device through USB

 

In the Blackberry Link:  A new tab called BlackBerry Z10 appears when the device is connected but 
with error message "cannot communicate with device"

 

The BlackBerry Device Manager icon appears when device is connectedd

and on click of properties it shows the device as connected under the "Connected Devices" tab

 

 

PC


OS                            : Windows 7
Software Installed : Blackberry Link

IDE                           :  QNX Momentics IDE

 

Device:

BlackBerry Z10

Software Version: 10.0.0.348

Settings :

Security/Development Mode/Use Development Mode/(set to) On

Storage&Access/USB Connections/(set to) Autodetect

Hello,

 

Here's one guess:

  • KB33604 Desktop is unable to communicate with a BlackBerry 10 device when connected via USB with an active VPN connection

You might find more by searching the public KBs:

Also, have you done the obvious things like trying different USB ports, different USB cables (though they should be just the OEM's), etc.?
