Wont Restore device.

I am currently using a z10.

-> i backed up my Z10 to BB Link. with a full backup.
-> i Reloaded the software to factory default
-> i updated my phone's software to its latest version
-> i attached my blackberry ID to the account
-> i attempted to reload my device's backup to it.

When trying to reload the backup, it is telling me that the versions of software are not compatable. however, i was on when i backed up, and am still running whilst trying to restore. is there something i am missing here?
