iTunes does NOT appear in my BlackBerry Link

Ok I got my berry the day it was released in Canada and I cannot sync my iTunes with my device.

 

I have tried all the suggestions on this forum.  Changing my music source from iTunes to Windows Media and back.  I have uninstalled my Link software and reinstalled.  Uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled still nothing.

 

So frustrating.  I was so happy to go back to having a Berry but I think I like my iPhone better.  So many apps available on my 9800 aren't available on my z10 and now this problem for the last 2 months.

What version of BlackBerry 10 are you currently running?  Also have you tried a media synchronization with Windows Player?  Does it get detected?  Are you using a PC or a Mac?

 

Also what version of iTunes are you currently running?

Thanks for the response.

 

I have no music in my Windows Media Player, but it I have tried changing the source to WMP and I get "There are no songs in your WMP library".  Which is accurate b/c I haven't used WMP in years, since I have had iTunes/iPods.  And HP had my PC in for a warranty issue and I had to start from scratch in November and load NOTHING into WMP.

 

When I change it to iTunes I get "There are no songs in your iTunes library".  This is 100% inaccurate as I have 3870 songs at this time.

 

I am using a PC running Windows 7.

 

The version of BB 10 10.0.10.672.

 

My version of Link is 1.0.1.12.

 

My itunes is 11.0.2.26.

I would suggest doing the following:

 

  1. Close iTunes.
  2. Locate the iTunes folder.
    1. For Windows® XP this folder can be found at c:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\My Documents\My Music\iTunes.
    2. For Windows Vista™ or Windows® 7, browse to \<your user name>\Music\
  3. Move the iTunes Music Library.xml to the Desktop.
  4. Move the iTunes Library.itl files (in versions of iTunes prior to 4.9 this was called "iTunes 4 Music Library.itl") to the Desktop, as well as any Previous iTunes Library folders if they are present.

    Note: Do not add any content into iTunes until the rest of the steps have been completed.

  5. Open iTunes.
  6. On the File menu, click Library>Import Playlist and select the iTunes Music Library.xml file on the desktop.
  7. Click Open

Then go into BlackBerry Link and try to use the Media Sync.  

 

If the issue still persists then I would suggest you contacting your network service provider and ask to be transferred to BlackBerry as we will need to get logs from your BlackBerry Link.

Yeah Rogers doesn't know how to get me in touch with RIM/BlackBerry...

If I right click on link and run as an admin there is a 50/50 chance of it loading with my iTunes info.

tried all that reloaded both link and itunes... nothing?

If I run it as admin then it seems to work.
