iTunes music will sync, but will not appear on my phone

I have been able to successfully install Blackberry Link and it appeared that dragging and dropping music would be simple.  It actually is, but the music does not end up on the phone.

 

I tried several different albums, some that I purchased from the iTunes store and some I ripped from CD's that I own.  Only one of the albums (from the iTunes store) ended up on my phone.  The others appeared to sync, but are not on the phone.  One of those albums is also from the iTunes store, the rest are not.

 

I found all the albums that I attemped to sync in the Blackberry music folder that Blackberry Link created (on my laptop).  So it appears that Link is partially working but not completing the process.

To better assist you I have a few questions:

What version of itunes are you currently using?

To clarify when you drag and drop the music it also does Not display the Music files on the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone?

Do the files have any copy right restrictions?

Hi,

 

The iTunes version is 10.6.1.7.

 

When I drag and drop the music, the files are not shown on the Z10.  Blackberry Link appears to be busy doing something, however when it is done, no files are on the phone.

 

I am not aware of any copywrite restrictions.  They were legally purchased through the iTunes Store or ripped from my own CD's.

If you go to the properties of the music files on your computer, what is the file format?

And if you go to 'File manager' on the device, do you see the files in the music folder?

Hi HB,

 

The file format is M4a.

The device shows the music and when I try to play one album, the message says "This file contains an unsupported media format".  When I try to play a different album the music is not actually there, just a jpg of the album cover.
