BB10 and blue tooth

Hi, has anyone had issues with not being able to answer calls on the hand held while the blue tooth hands free is turned on?

Re: BB10 and blue tooth

Hello rwfam and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Sorry to hear you're having an issue with answering calls on your BlackBerry Z10 smartphone.

Under Settings>About>Category OS what is your software version?

Are you trying to answer the call on your device or by using the headset?

Thanks!

DEVICE IS THE Q10. VER.10.1.0.4181. THE PROBLEM IS THAT I CAN'T ANSWER CALLS ON THE DEVICE WHILE THE HANDS FREE IN THE VEHICLE IS ON.

Re: BB10 and blue tooth

To clarify, your device is paired to your car using Bluetooth and when you select the answer button on your car, it doesn't pick up the call?

Or are you trying to use the phone itself to pick up the call?

Thanks.

Re: BB10 and blue tooth

HMthe Pirate,

Thanks for your respnse. When my device is paired with my vehicle via Bluetooth, I can answer calls with the answer button but cannot answer calls on my phone while away from my vehicle and the device is still paired.

Re: BB10 and blue tooth

If your device is still actively paired with your vehicle, the Bluetooth accessory (in this case the car) would be the source required to answer the phone.

You would need to turn off your vehicle or turn off the Bluetooth on your device, when you are leaving the car.

Hope this clarifies.

Re: BB10 and blue tooth

Thanks for that, although this is unfortunate as older versions would allow you to direct your incoming call either way.

Re: BB10 and blue tooth

The only question I have is " why would BB release a new OS (10) that does not include all of the features from the previous one, along with new features?

It seems that they were trying to meet the release date, but could not write all of the features into the code, so we, the users, have to settle for less and hope that some day we get those great features back.
