Re: BlackBerry 10.2 OS Begins Roll Out

Be patient.. close the Contacts app and check again.

After any upgrade it can take 48-72 hours for the OS update to 'settle in' and for the massive data syncing of email, contacts, social media apps and all else to complete. SMS can be slow. Even entering a contact. The lag will subside.

Re: BlackBerry 10.2 OS Begins Roll Out

Thanks for the Reply... But before I saw it I RESTORED to previous file what I saved just before I updated. Thinking that would get the old OS version back... which it didn't.
NOW 95% of my contacts are gone...  :-(
Any suggestions Now ???

Re: BlackBerry 10.2 OS Begins Roll Out

Yes I did see that... but guess I'm not all that patient when it comes to losing 700 + Names addresses & ph #'s LOL.

What I did was resync contacts with "Blackberry Link" actually did it twice as the 1st time it only pulled from Outlook's "Contacts" Contacts & the second time it pulled from the Contact's ( Mobile ) file from within Outlook.
So I BE a Happy Camper again... seems like all contacts have loaded onto my Z10 WHEW !!!

Thanks for your help... but it seems in able to get contacts back a "SYNC" is required ??  2 TIMES
Cheers Bob

Re: BlackBerry 10.2 OS Begins Roll Out

How did you install your contacts on your Z10 in the past... via outlook sync from the PC? or synced over the air through an email account?

Re: BlackBerry 10.2 OS Begins Roll Out

Was always thru Outlook from PC.
I don't ever remember it adding any over the Air to my Z10 if I ever added a contact into Outlook.. Is that the "Use Mobile Network" option to ON in "Settings" "Blackberry Lonk" ??
it's OFF on my Z10 guess thats why it never adds if its Off Eh :-) LOL I will turn it on to try it.
On another topic..  Completely Off Topic... have you heard of anyone else having issue with a 2nd Computer with BB Link not being able to "connect" with the device.
The one at home works fine... but I have a second at work... which I add alot of info to obviously & after 5 or six reloads of the BB Link software it will not Link with my Z10... any advise on that ??

Re: BlackBerry 10.2 OS Begins Roll Out

The overall experience is good.

However, I've one issue here: I'm going to Settings -> security and Privacy -> Application Permissions

Then I get that "There are no applications to manage" !!!!

Why is that? I've tens of applications already installed on my device

Any suggestions??!!

At the App Permissions screen, the top pull down is set to look at what type of permissions?

Set that to ALL and see if any appear.
