Please Devs, this is a serious problem in the BB10 software and it would be a step towards being at par to have this simple issue non-existent! Vote for its change at:
When a call is missed, or a facebook notification is received by facebook (among other results including text messages): if you view the notification in BlackBerry Hub it is not dismissed by the Phone app or the Facebook app, therefore not being dismissed by the lock screen where notifications show up for such things. You will have to open the phone app and/or the Facebook app to fully dismiss the notification...This is a duplicated action; very counter-intuitive.
Reproduce: Miss a Call: Click Dismiss: open Hub and view "Calls" page: swipe back to main screen: notice the lack of Splat on the phone app: lock phone, click top lock button or perform a half-swipe to show the lock screen, notice the notification is still there whereas it is not on the phone app as a splat but is in fact still showing as one new event on the BlackBerry Hub Peek of the options - it will show a "1" on the peek even though it is not in bold font on the actual calls page and has no notification in the phone app.
Expected Results: Viewing a notification for anything in BlackBerry Hub SHOULD dismiss ALL notifications SYSTEM-WIDE.
Acutal Results: Viewing a notification FOR ANYTHING in BlackBerry Hub DOES NOT dismiss the notifications System-wide.
The same results happen when you have any other Hub notifications that have Apps of their own on the phone. This issue needs to be fixed, there is no reason for BlackBerry the leader in smartphones to have this serious display ot counter-intuitive functionality where you need to dismiss something TWICE in order for it to be fully dismissed.
