BlackBerry Z10 OS Update + WiFi Problems

Hi,

Having updated yesterday, Saturday, to the latest OS I have noticed that my WiFi connection keeps being dropped. To use Browser, or any other App, I have to restart my phone.  The WiFi then works until I stop using the phone. When i next wake the phone the WiFi is still connected but not working.

Any ideas?

Re: BlackBerry Z10 OS Update + WiFi Problems

What if you only simply turn off and back on the WiFi connection?

I know that's not a good long term solution. If this continues, I'd recommend a software reload and even further reporting of this issue your Vodafone technical support so that it can logged as a user issue with Blackberry tech support.

Tried that! Also tried switching from Landline provider to Mobile network, both WiFi, and it makes no difference!

In that case, I'd recommend reloading the OS.

Re: BlackBerry Z10 OS Update + WiFi Problems

Hi there ! I have had the same problem and i changed my phone three times, even the seller was confused what the actual problem is , they diagnosed my phone but everything was ok. Try to connect your wifi and save it.  when you leave your wifi range and come back in you will need to restart the phone. I know this shouldnt be the solution but like you i have searched everywhere but got no support.

Good Luck !!

Regards.

Re: BlackBerry Z10 OS Update + WiFi Problems

I have the same problem. I notice that if I drop my wifi connection (say I go out of range) it won't find any wifi hot spots let alone my one when I'm back in range. I have to restart my phone to find wifi again.

Re: BlackBerry Z10 OS Update + WiFi Problems

Can you try deleting perhaps your home WiFi profile from the device and then connect again, and see how it goes?

Re: BlackBerry Z10 OS Update + WiFi Problems

I have the same problem. I deleted my WiFi and set it up again, reloaded my Software, and even tried the 10.1 Developer preview. My BB World will not download any apps, nor update when on WiFi. I use an STL 100-1
