Blackberry 10 (Q10 and Z10) sent mail from desktop not showing up in BB inbox

Hello,


I am having a problem with sent mail with my Blackberry & Gmail.   I had a Z10 before my current Q10 and have had the same problem.


I have 3 email addresses on my blackberry - all gmail.   When I send emails from 2 (call them accounts A and B) addresses from a desktop computer, the inboxs on my blackberry for addresses A and B shows a checkmark/sent mail.

 

However for account C, when I send an email from desktop/webmail, on my blackberry, I don't see a checkmark/sent mail. 

 

This is challenging because I sometimes forget which emails I have replied to and inadvertantly reply to an email again - from my bb.

 

How can I fix this so it shoes all 'sent' mail?

Hello paradiddle

 

Thank you for your question.

 

Try doing the following:

 

1. Log in to your email account that is having issues using a web browser 

2. Click on Settings

3. Click on Labels 

4. Now ensure Sent items is set to Show and that there is a check mark in the Show in IMAP check box. 

 

Once this is done test again to see if you have the same issue.

Unfortunately it did not.   

 

Here are 2 screen shots of what I saw/did on the broken account.   It looks like I can't select one of the 'sent' folders.    That 'sent' folder on the working accounts is selected.

If you are not able to select that sent folder then that is probably what is causing your issue. You are going to need to reach out to Google to see why you do no have the option to select this.

are you connecting using IMAP or ActiveSync?

on my Z10, the name of the folder is not "Sent". It is "Sent Items".

what language have you chosen on the webmail of GMail ?

and are you using "GMail" or "GoogleMail" (from Germany) ?

--> IMAP I think?  It's a blackberry Q10 - and I know it no longer uses the BIS.  

I just select 'add account' in the settings of the Q10.

Email account that is WORKING i.e. showing sent webmail/Desktop items on BB:

On the one that is NOT working, when I go into settings to edit folders, the single sent folder is greyed out, and I can't select it - screenshot:   Screen shot for edit folder settings - for account that is NOT working

1) the second screenshot is not taken from the same place as the first.

3) in the third screenshot, at the top of the window choose Sync all email folders >> On.
