I added new contacts on my contact list and entered their birthday. When I go to the calendar it doesn't show any of my contacts' birthdays. Do I have to manually add each one onto the calendar or is there another way to do it?

There is no such sync in the system for now.
But hopefully such feature will be introduced later.
And I've made an app to solve this issue - MeeBirthdays.
It's available at AppWorld, and it's free.

It would be nice, if such calendar entries would count the years and show them. Then you could see, how old the person is. That would be fine, if it's added in a later update.

There is an option in MeeBirthday for adding of Age to the calendar events.
p.s. And there is a new version available in App World.
