Following the MR update I still cannot get the birthdays of my contacts to show on the calendar. I wonder why BB gives us the option of having the birthday date of a contact when I have to go through all my contacts each day to see who has his birthday on the day...
This is something I could do with my first Nokia 15 years ago.

Thanks for the post.
This is a known issue and there is no estimated time when it will be resolved.
A workaround is to use an email provider that has subscriptions for contact's birthdays and events. Gmail offers this kind of service. Follow the steps below for the Gmail workaround:
Login to Gmail webmail and click on Calendar at the top.
On the left under Other Calendars, select Browse Interesting Calendars.
All the contacts with anniversary's and birthday's associated with them should now be displayed in Gmail. Once this is complete, the new calendar will display in the BlackBerry 10 calendar during the next sync interval.

This is an unacceptable "solution".
And the reason BlackBerry is in such trouble. I've been loyal to BB since 2008, but am finding it increasingly more difficult to remain so.
This is such a basic and required function of my phones, business and personal, and I know for many others out there, that it should be a top priority bug for BB to correct.
