Re: How to I start smart dialing in the phone app

Good morning.

I try the following:

1. Country code set for Germany, Area code empty, Company Access Number: 09281974

2. Country code set for Germany, Area code: 09281, Company Access Number: 974

Both variants failed.

But my problem is: Which number I have do dial in the phone app? Only the 3 digit extension or the 3 digit extension with a prefix (like the old BlackBerry OS)?

Best regards

Ralph

That is what I would suggest should work. If it doesn't, I don't understand.

When it is set this this way, what happens?

Re: How to I start smart dialing in the phone app

When i setup the smart dialing with three separate numbers for Country code, Area code and Company Access Number i changed to the phone app.

With my old BB9360 i must dial a "x" as prefix, e.g. x395 do start the smart dialing. With OS 10 I can only dial the extension number (395) or the extension number with the prefix "*" or "#" (*395 or #395). In all cases i get the response from my service provider the number I use is not complete.

Is it right, that I don't need a prefix to dial a extension number with OS 10?

Best regards.

Re: How to I start smart dialing in the phone app

Hello.

I have done some test. At the first the automatic company extension only works with fix contacts. It is not possible do to dial a company extension directly in the phone app.

Further more I have checked the voice dialing. If I call a company extension the phone dial a "x" as prefix. But it's not possible to say only three digits. The phone understand always 4 digits. Evtl. My English is to bad.

Anyway, we can stop this threat. The solution is done.

I really hope RIM fix this problem with the extension dialing.

Best regards
