Lost apps after Security Wipe.

I performed a search, and the only thread I found must have been for a non- BB10 device, because the solution called for using the "Alt" button. If there is already a thread open, I apologize.

I performed a Security Wipe because something wasted 1500 Mb of my data in less than 12 hours. I started by deleting all of my applications, and when that didn't solve my issue, I proceeded with the Security Wipe. After the re boot, I plugged it into my computer and re installed all of my data. I went to re install my apps, but I can't, because it shows that they are already installed. Is there a way to refresh the app list on BB World like there is on the older OS? I have restarted my device a couple of times and that didn't do anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Lost apps after Security Wipe.

Hey JohnnyTwo-Shoes,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

If you restored your backup file, it will include the applications.  Have you checked all the pages of applications and folders?

If you go into My World on the BlackBerry Z10, does it show as Open for each of the applications.

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers.

Re: Lost apps after Security Wipe.

When I check BB World, all the apps I previously downloaded show they are installed.

About the backup file, could you go into a little more detail?

Re: Lost apps after Security Wipe.

I should probably add that my device was encrypted, and I didn't decrypt it before I performed the Security Wipe. Oops.

Re: Lost apps after Security Wipe.

Also, I should add that of the apps I deleted before the wipe, the only app I managed to download was Slacker Radio, possibly because there was an update for it. There is an update for a couple of other apps, and I will try to download them to see if they work.

There was a few apps/games I didn't delete before the wipe, and they are still there after the reload.

Re: Lost apps after Security Wipe.

Hey JohnnyTwo-Shoes,

Thanks for the quick reply.

If you did a full backup of your data through BlackBerry Link, it will include any 3rd party applications that are downloaded from BlackBerry World.

What version of BlackBerry 10 are you running?  Go to Settings>About to find this information out.

Okay it makes sense if you deleted the application prior to reload, as these applications will not present.

Which applications are you missing so I can investigate further?

Re: Lost apps after Security Wipe.

Quick update :

Just tried un-installing the apps from the BlackBerry World storefront, nothing. It shows a progress wheel, and when it stops, it still shows installed. I will try restarting my device. If it doesn't help, I won't post about it.
