My Z10 doesn't work please help

I just got my Z10 yesterday it was gift from my friend in UAE anyways.

I turned on my Z10 and I wanted to transfer my contact thru blackberry LINK , and it said you have to update it and I wish I didn't my phone turned off and didn't work since that >> I tried to do many thing such as restore but it say that there is no update and I went to here www.blackberry.com/update to update it thru the web same thing. I live in US and I can't return it sense my friend bought it from UAE

your help is highly appreciated

Just for clarification you turn on your phone and it said to update.

But you didn't want to update and turn it off and it never turn back on again??

 

Was the battery full when you turn it on?? Have you try charging it??

I turn on my phone it was fine i made one cal it was perfect so i wanted to sync my contacts when i sync it with LINk it said to update it when i update it it never turn on after that I didnt charge my phone i just turn it on but i tried to charge it didnt work .
