No Data on 10.1 Update

[ Edited ]

Hi guys,

I updated my BlackBerry Z10 to 10.1.0.273 via WiFi and since then I have been able to access data when I am not connected to WiFi. The mobile strength indicator only appears lower case and the BlackBerry signal never appears. Is this due to an incorrect install, as it did seem to hold at one point. I am running software release 10.1.0.273 on model STL100-2 with OS Version 10.1.0.1720 on Orange UK (EE).

I have tried a battery pull, switching off the data and signal (which when I had issues with the data before the update, solved the issue) but it hasn't solved the issue.

Any other info that you require please let me know.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Dave

Re: No Data on 10.1 Update

I've discovered why this is happening but I haven't been able to solve it yet, and feel the only way to solve this issue would be to factory reset the phone. The issue is that the APN have been deleted and every time I updated them and save, they don't save. I have also contacted my service provider and they have sent me the settings and they still aren't updating and saving and they have also suggested performing a factory reset, if only BlackBerry Protect had the functionality it used to I would be able to perform this now and not wait until I can backup through BlackBerry Link (which is very temperamental).

Hey Dave, are you actually able to edit your APN settings or is greyed out?

Re: No Data on 10.1 Update

Hi, I was able to edit the APN settings but every time I saved them, it didn't save. I have solved it now by creating a backup. Then performing a security wipe then restoring from the backup. Took several hours but at least it worked. I tried your guide to reload the software but Link wouldn't respond when I pressed the reload button.

Re: No Data on 10.1 Update

I'm facing the same problem ever since I did the update. But in addition I also don't get my office email even when I'm on a wifi network. And the solution sounds quite drastic. But guess will have to try it.

Try deleting that email account, reboot the Z10 and setup the same email again.
