does BB10 sync the categories of events with exchange/outlook?
There is no info on the website.
BB7 uses the categories in contacts and tasks but not events.
we search our future devices and BB10 looks good for us. but the categories are essential for us.

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
The categories within calendar in Outlook will not synchronize to BlackBerry 10.

Thanks for Info.
Its it possible to sync multiple Outlook-Calendars (Exchange) instead of the Categories ?
In one Exchange-Account i can create multiple calendars.
Could they be synced with Z10 over active-sync with different colors ?

OK... the fact that Outlook categories do not sync is not really a problem. I can do a work around for that. The problem I have is that anytime I make a change on my BBQ10, it ERASES ALL OF THE CATEGORIES I have set in Outlook. This is a huge problem for me. Please advise

Yes, we need Contact Catagories. Please fix the Contact Manager in the new OS to include more of vCard fields as in BB OS version 7x and prior. We need Contact Categories field in the Contact Manager and the tight integration with MS Outlook(not limited cloud version of Outlook). For me the Blackberry Classic is not just about the keyboard. The superior business functionality of the Contact Manager set Blackberry apart from the rest. Please get this fixed.

Ever since getting my Z10 over a year and a half ago, it's been the lone bane of my existence. Sure, there have been other issues, but most of those I could deal with and many have been fixed since.
Remember when BB used to send out usability surveys to us (something they haven't done in over 8 or 9 months now)? I would write a whole thesis on the Outlook Contact Category Compatibility issue in the comment sections every chance I got.
My biggest issue was as mentioned above - editing a contact - synced via EAS - on the phone, would delete any and all categories set for the contact back on the server, and thus my PC at work - and mess up all the links related to categories on the PC. Not such a good thing for a "business-minded" device.
Well, 10.2 came out - no fix.
Then 10.2.1 came out - still no fix.
Then 10.3.0 came out - still no fix.
Then 10.3.1 came out - are you kidding me?
I have not tried the 10.3.2 leak - nor have I heard anything about it related to categories, but I hold out no hope.
So, anyone with any kind of connection at all to BlackBerry want to comment on why this one thing has been so obviously ignored for so long?
