Question about Blackberry Protect

Does BBProtect no longer back up my basic data for BB10 devices? ie. If I wipe my phone then will BBP restore my BBM contacts, settings etc? Or am I just stupid and have no idea how to set it? Smiley Embarassed

And if I'm not stupid then is that a permanent thing or just temporary? I really liked that feature. It was SUPER handy on my 9900 (and my 8900 before that) as I rarely need to use the desktop manager.

Re: Question about Blackberry Protect

Hey deviance,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Backing up data through BlackBerry Protect is not available through BlackBerry 10.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Cheers.

Re: Question about Blackberry Protect

It would be very handy to have BlackBerry Protect back up the phone.  With the Outlook sync feature having not made it from OS7 to OS10, there needs to be some way to back up the phone.  I'm really not interested in cloud storage services such as Gmail or Outlook.com and I prefer the security that used to be provided with OS7/BIS.

Thank you.
