What happened to Groups in Contacts?

Hello,

I am very close to leaving BB. It's been 2 days of hair pulling with the new Z10.

First, my Contacts would not mirgrate to the Z10 no matter what I did with Blackberry Link and restoring backups from my BB Bold. I phoned Rogers for Tech support. As I use gmail, once I set up the gmails, then all the Contacts migrated. However, none of my Groups migrated. Does BB10 even suppport having groups?

Re: What happened to Groups in Contacts?

It is my understanding that contact groups have been abandoned.

Sorry. I don't know a solution for that.

In BBM, I had a similar experience except that all my BBM groups except one migrated from my Bold 9900 to my Z10.  I tried to re-join the missing group using the group icon scan and it reported that I was successful.  Unfortunately, the group disappeared from my 'groups' page (at first it was listed as "unknown group" but I couldn't access it) and now I am unable to rejoin it.  Any ideas?  I love my Z10 but I need to rejoin this group.  Thanks!

Thank you for your answers. It would seem that BB has abandoned groups, which is a key productivity function for me.

I do have groups. Just one has disappeared. I don't know about other groups as I haven't used them yet. Contact @BlackBerryHelp if you don't get an answer here. Smiley Happy This is new to all of us. Smiley Happy

Anilu7, you are able to create groups in your Z10 Contacts? Are you also able to email a group of email addresses?

You can't imagine how painfully frustrating this is. One would have expected that creating groups in contacts would be a given with the NEW  BB Z10 . I hope that this concern is not be taken lightly.
