Try going to your system settings then select Network connections, you will then see Mobile Network, press it & in the screen make sure your mobile Network is ON...

I had the same happen to me, what it had done is the mobile network had defaulted to Pay and Go, which i don't have as i have 1GB as part of my contract. I went to my mobile provider (O2) and they gave me the correct APN settings to enter which restored my mobile network. I think I lost my settings when i did an update as well. You should ask T Mobile what your correct APN setting are, note you may have to do a restart after entering them.
