Activating a Z10 on BES 5.0.3 (Exchange 2010)

Dear,

Our enterprise has around 250 BlackBerry users. We aren't really convinced of BES10 and are maybe looking to activate the new devices on our BES 5.0.3. Is that possible?

I have been looking around but no clear answer of BB. If it's not possible, do we need a seperate server for it? And I guess we only need BDS 6.2 on it to activate the devices? Or do we need the full BES10 package for it? We don't want to manage anything, just mails, calendar, contacts via Exchange 2010.

We might upgrade to 5.0.4 but we don't really see the advantage of that.

Thank you for your answer.

Kind regards,

Lode

Re: Activating a Z10 on BES 5.0.3 (Exchange 2010)

a BB10 device needs to use BES 10 or Exchange Active Sync

BES 10 needs a separate server or VM for it

Upgrading to 5.0.4 will allow you to use a same like BAS interface for both BES making it easier to manage both
