Allow incoming calls but disable outgoing via BES..


is it possible to disable outgoing calls only ( But allow incoming calls) on BlackBerry devices via a policy from the BES.
ANy help would be most appreciated...

The closest it to use: Firewall policy group > Restrict Outgoing Cellular Calls IT policy rule

 

You'll need BES 4.1.5 and HH OS 4.3 or >

it didn't work, still users can make outgoing calls...!

we have BES v 4.1 sp4 and users have BlackBerry device smartphone 8300.

 

Your help is appreciated...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't wiping and re-running the enterprise activation after updating an IT Policy work?

Andy, please see this thread that you actually posted on as well. The user was unable to disable his password even after changing the IT policy. I suggested that he wipe the BB and re-run the EA. He wrote back and said that it worked.

All I am saying is that in my experiences (changing a policy from Data Only to Voice/Data) we sometimes have to wipe and re-run the EA. I figured that would be of some relevance to the situation.

I just can't see how technologically the re-EA is the solution.  Did we ever get confirmation that the initial IT Policy change took?  I see what you're saying, I just can't agree that its a recommended procedure as it doesn't make sense with how BB interacts with a carriers network and RIMs NOC.
