Another SRPClient::Connect: Error can't find a solution

Hello,

 

We have a BES server running on Windows 2003 connecting to a SBS2008 server. 2 different servers.

 

Everything ran smoothly until 4-5 days ago. The 2 users don't receive and can't send emails.

 

I looked at the logs and found the 20000 error:

 

[20000] (10/05 12:46:01.936):{0x166C} SRPClient::Connect: Error calling host "localhost" [127.0.0.1] (0)
[20000] (10/05 12:46:01.936):{0x166C} [SRP] Connection failed
[20460] (10/05 12:46:01.936):{0x166C} [SRP] Connection failed

 

I went to the board and search for answers, everything I check seems correct. 

 

We are running 4.1.4.17 and as I said, it was running just great, no modifications were made (firewall, anti-viruses, BES nor SBS2008...), may be one microsoft update but I'm not sure. SRPtest doesn't show error etc...

 

Any ideas?

I did this one already but, re-did it in case.

 

First setp:

NetworkAccessNode is srp.xx.xxxxxxxx.net.
Attempting to connect to srp.xx.xxxxxxxx.net (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx), port 3101
Sending test packet
Waiting for response
Receiving response
Checking response
Successful

 

Second step:

Locate network access node done

 

Third step:

 

Ping access node, node avg time 55ms

Locahost avg time: 1ms

 

Fourth Step:

 

Trace route access node for timeout: done, no timeout

 

Fith step:

 

Telnet access node: done no problem to connect

 

Sixth step:

 

PathPing access node (stats for 550 secondes):  Trace complete with 0 lost

Have you made any perimiter or software firewall changes?

 

Can you flush your DNS server cache?

Are all your BES services running?

 

DBNS can be ignored.

 

What are they being logged on as?

No changes to the SBS2008 box nor to the Win2003 box. I look at the Microsoft update and the last one was Monday September 21st at !am and problems started to occur after Friday October 2nd (3:48pm - last email received by user) - I rebooted the machine twice already.

 

I flushed the DNS and error came back - it comes every 5minutes.

 

Also I noticed that the Server_Rout log for today is already at 4Mb, I don't remember it was a large one compared to the other logs.

 

The main entry is:

[30000] (10/05 14:40:11.155):{0xF24} [SERVICE_RELAY_SESSIONSmiley Frustrated30260715:0146b638] Disconnect session. IP=127.0.0.1
[30000] (10/05 14:40:11.155):{0xF24} [SERVICE_MANAGER] Delete session. UID=S30260715, Session=0x0146b638

 

Which comeback every 10th of a second.

Sorry I missed that one, yes all the services are running and the error are log in SERV_DISP.

Try stopping these services in this order:

Blackberry Controller
Blackberry Dispatcher
Blackberry Router

Starting the services in this Order:

Blackberry Controller
Blackberry Dispatcher
Blackberry Router

Worked... as soon as I restarted the services... as described... the blackberry on my desk got mail - WOW

 

Do you know what the problem is?

Might be an issue with depenedcies on the services. Usually a restart of BES would fix this but in certain cases it does not.
